Lacie & Jahreen.jpg“Jahreen & Lacie Collins were in our Kaiserslautern church for three years. During their time here, we were able to witness their spiritual growth even as they walked through the darkness of losing a child. In all of this God laid a higher calling upon their hearts. Jahreen and Lacie are BOTH soldiers and their lives can be crazy at times. But when God began to lay a burden on their hearts for ministry to youth, they said ‘Yes’. The Collins are now serving the U.S. Military in Italy. When they came for a visit to us one weekend, they shared that the door had just opened for them to start the youth ministry in their church in Italy. We are praying for both wisdom and strength for this precious couple.

Ramon & Zorabel.jpg“A few weeks ago we received an email that caused tears of joy to roll down our faces. Ramon and Zorabel were members of our church plant in Berlin for the entire six years that Zorabel was working on her doctorate at Potsdam University. When we first met this couple, she was a backslidden daughter of a Venezuelan pastor, and Ramon made his money in the porno film business. Under our ministry at Christus Zentrum Lichtenberg in Berlin, Zorabel rededicated her life to Christ, and Ramon was saved and baptized. It was with joyful hearts that we witnessed amazing growth in their lives. When they left to return to Venezuela, they wrote us a letter stating that if we came to Germany ONLY for them, we should consider it was worth it. We have since received an email, saying that their Pastor in Venezuela had been preaching a lot about missions and encouraging his congregation to ask God what He wanted them to do. When they heard God’s call, they readily answered, ‘Here am I, send me.’ They are raising funds now with plans for 2016 to go to the field where God has called them to plant another church…..Berlin!

Pentecostal Revival among the Gypsies across Europe

One of the most dynamic and powerful works of the Holy Spirit in our day certainly is the Pentecostal revival among the Gypsies Streams of this revival started in the decade of the 1950s. God began to pour out His Spirit upon the diverse ethnic groups of Gypsies in Europe and around the world. Because of prejudice and ill reputation, many leaders were skeptical about the conversion of Gypsies, but over time, these leaders recognized that God is no respecter of persons. France has more than 150 000 baptized Gypsy adults. There are some 2150 preachers trained in their own Bible school with almost 300 students studying every year. The French missionary work, called ‘Life and Light’ (founded by Pastor Clément Le Cossec), reaches into 30 countries, supporting over 30 missionaries in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and India. The French Gypsies brought the Gospel to neighboring countries such as Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy.

Spain has also experienced phenomenal growth as today there are over 200 000 baptized believers, some 600 Gypsy churches and 2500 preachers. The “Gitanos ” have evangelized Portugal and South America as well. England has been marked by the same kind of development since 1975. Today there are over 15 000 born-again Gypsies and Travellers, many of whom were instrumental in reaching Ireland, Canada, and the USA. . In Eastern Europe, we see similar growth. In Romania, there are some 110 000 converts and hundreds of Gypsy churches with about 200 preachers. Bulgaria has some 70 000 Gypsy believers and over 120 Gypsy churches and preachers. Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary are currently experiencing a mighty move of the Holy Spirit. There are over 10 million Gypsies in Eastern Europe. Only 3% have knowledge of the Gospel.

There is also a growing work in the Scandinavian countries, such as Norway, Sweden and Finland. TV programs are broadcast in the Gypsy language in more than 15 cities throughout Russia and Eastern Europe. There are some 40 million Gypsies in the world, half of whom are in India. To this day, 700 to 800 000 Gypsies from various ethnic groups know Jesus Christ as their Savior, with a total of 6 500 preachers and pastors. The task to reach this vast mission field is still unfinished. Gypsies have their own language, mindset and traditions. Please pray the Lord of the harvest to send many more workers to these people for whom Jesus died!

Dreams and Visions in Germany

Our missional God often uses dreams to reveal and draw people to himself. Such is the case of two people that AGWM Personnel to Germany, Mike Tyler, encountered in his ministry. Mike relates their amazing stories. “The first experience was that of a 15-year-old boy. His mom was at our outreach service on a Wednesday night in November, and came forward at the end specifically for prayer for her son. Some of our team members prayed with her. Then she headed off directly from the church service for a work-trip for a few days. In the middle of that same night, she got a phone call from her hysterical son. He explained that the Holy Spirit woke him up in the middle of the night to invite him to our church. She asked, `Was it a dream?’ He said, `I don’t think so. The voice woke me up!’ Every time he has attempted to describe the experience he has broken out in tears again. `Indescribable’ is the only word he has for what happened. He came to our next outreach service and wasted no time in making a decision to follow Jesus. Since then his life has been so radically changed that his father, who for decades has been very resistant to the Gospel, is also now coming to our services every week, and has totally changed his outlook on God and the world around him. God answered a mother’s prayer for her son in a supernatural way!

“The second dream experience happened to a young woman of 17 years. She attended one of our outreach services for the first time in late November. Later that night she had a dream: She saw everyone in the church singing and praising God, and thought it was great…until the realization hit her that she wasn’t in the church. She was standing outside and watching from the darkness. And she immediately knew what that meant. It was a reflection of her spiritual life. She was living in darkness. That dream jumpstarted her pursuit of a relationship with God. Then, on a phone call with one of our youth she started asking the big questions, and ended with the most important one, `Will you pray with me so I can start following Jesus?’ We thank God for this outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Joel 2:28) and are rejoicing in the knowledge that God is relentlessly pursuing people here in Germany, and around the world.”

Dresden's Oasis for Christmas

Many refugees from Syria and other countries have come to Germany to seek asylum. The city of Dresden has taken in refugees which has not been a well-liked decision by many of the general population. Feelings of animosity, suspicion and fear are prevalent. The families of the Oasis Church in Dresden invited 40 refugees to enjoy coffee and Christmas cookies and used that opportunity to share with them why we celebrate Christmas. They also explained some of the German traditions. What a beautiful act of God‘s love it was to show these refugees that the Body of Jesus Christ accepts them and welcomes them even though they meet so much rejection elsewhere. It reminds us of the words Jesus said, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me…”
