When we started the church in 2016, we were being obedient to what we believed God was leading us to do. We felt that if we would start the church, then God would bring the people. So with 12 people, we decided it was time.
Children meet God in the Czech Republic
Over 500 people from across the Czech Republic gathered in the Jesinik mountains this past July for a spiritual emphasis week. The program included nightly worship and teaching, morning small groups, some specialized workshops and 5 one-hour blocks of afternoon prayer.
During the morning hours when the adults and youth were in their small-group meetings, over 100 children also gathered to hear about Jesus. Jason and Andrea Morrison, AGWM personnel in the Czech Republic, were privileged to have Nathan Jorris from Fort Wayne First Assembly as their special guest speaker for the children. Nathan and his team were fantastic as they brought a lesson each day and led the children to times of personal prayer.
The most exciting part of the week was to see many children spending time in prayer and truly connecting with God. Many of them had tears in their eyes as they prayed on their own. In preparation for the week, the Morrisons spent much time helping the national leaders to plan the program and gather resources. Since the theme was about being a superhero for God, they decided to shoot their own superhero film to introduce the program each day. The Morrisons state that, “After seeing the children respond to God, we know the time in preparation was well spent.”
Forgiveness Brings Smiles in the Czech Republic
As AGWM Personnel, Peter and Jana Kozic, were ministering in a church in the Czech Republic, Peter gave an invitation to anyone who wanted to receive Christ into their life. After that, an elderly lady, with a lot of emotion and tears, ran down to Peter, who then led her to Jesus and encouraged her to get involved in the local church. She shared that her husband whom she recently married was a believer who attended the church and she wanted to do the same. Peter noted the smell of alcohol on the lady’s breath. Some months later we returned again to minister at the church on a Saturday evening, Peter to the men and Jana at a women’s gathering. At the end, God gave Jana a word to speak to the women. It had to do with several women dealing with secrets and unforgiveness. Two women were set free from the past and forgave those who had hurt them.
Then the lady that Peter had led to the Lord seven months prior approached Jana and shared the pain and secrets of her past, saying “I can’t forgive that person and others involved.” Jana said it was good to have shared her secrets but the next step was to forgive. The woman said she wasn’t ready but Jana knew the Lord would continue to minister to her.
In church the next morning, the lady came again to Jana asking several questions about forgiveness. After sharing in vivid detail for over 30 minutes, Jana answering all of her questions, they prayed together and she forgave her father, mother, and herself.
Jana recalls her countenance before and after prayer. After prayer, her face changed from pain, sadness and shame to joy, peace, and freedom. While walking back to the meeting room, she also shared that she had stopped drinking the night Peter had prayed with her to receive Jesus months ago. We entered the service after it had already begun. When Peter looked up and saw her, he knew she had forgiven and had been set free. The entire day, she was unable to stop smiling.

Set Free from Darkness in the Czech Republic
One Saturday afternoon Peter and Jana Kozic, AGWM personnel in the Czech Republic, were helping the AC Vyskov Church with a children’s outreach. A lady along with her grandchildren came up to Peter. He began a conversation with her, sharing with her what Jesus has done in his life. He also then listened to her story. At the end of their conversation, he led her to invite the Lord into her life. He also encouraged her to start attending church and gave her the address and some information. Three months later the Kozics went back to preach at AC Vyskov. After worship Pastor Viktor asked if anyone had a testimony to share . A lady came forward, looking at them and smiling brightly. She began to share how she received Christ on August 20th and how her life was radically changed. The person who shared the gospel with her and encouraged her to attend church was Peter. She did attend the church and the people prayed for her. She was healed from depression and anxiety. When she went home, her unbelieving husband discouraged her from attending that church anymore so she no longer came. However, since that time, she had not taken her medication for over two months. But on this particular morning she made a decision to attend church each Sunday morning, letting nothing stop her. In her testimony, she thanked God for healing her and setting her free from darkness.
