Training Children's Workers

AGWM Personnel in Romania, Tamara Henkes, along with Jan Cunningham and Travis Corbell are ministering in children's evangelism. However, they strongly believe in the necessity of discipleship for these children.. Since the Kidz Romania team cannot be in every village every week, they rely heavily on the local churches to disciple these children. It is their privilege to collaborate with so many churches throughout the country and to provide the resources and tools that these children's workers need to effectively minister to their children each week. They provide free curriculum that is so easy to use that even poor village churches with no resources are able to use this material effectively. They also provide training seminars to children's workers and provide practical hands-on ideas for effectively reaching children in a fun way and at a level children will understand. In 2012, the Kidz Romania team held nearly 15 training seminars.

DSC00863.jpegHenkes says, “We go to those who request us - especially to churches in the villages who have no access nor means to travel to the Capital city.  Our training seminars are very hands on and practical.  The participants participate in the seminars as we believe that we learn best by doing instead of just hearing.  They also are made aware that they don't need to buy expensive equipment or resources to effectively teach.  We teach them how to teach as Jesus taught, using objects that he found near him, outside or wherever he was (sand, wheat, rock, a child etc..)  They learn how they can turn everyday household items or items from a local market into a powerful and effective object lesson.  We also provide seminars for very specific requests beyond the basic lesson such as puppetry, crafts, skits, clowns etc.  God is raising up workers and gathering children to Himself.”
