Mobile Technology for Evangelism in Spain

It is a fact that there are more mobile phone units on the planet then there are people. It has been said that the development of mobile technology is the most significant thing for the advancement of the Gospel since the invention of the printing press! As AGWM personnel Jeff Gregory, of International Media Ministries (IMM), travels and works in this specific area of technology, he sees the truth of that statement. Mobile technology presents an incredible opportunity to connect, introduce Jesus Christ, and start people on the journey to faith. Recent world events have caused many people to question their cultural religion. People are actively seeking truth and are doing so on their cell phones.

Jeff continues the development of the HopeBox. It is now being used in twelve countries with the interface and content in seven different languages, and with more being developed. IMM is working directly with missionaries involved in the migrant crisis, providing not only HopeBoxes but also micro SD cards with Bibles and evangelistic content that can be given directly to migrants for use in their phones. What a God-given opportunity!

Baptized in Barcelona, Spain

The International Church of Barcelona (ICB) celebrated the water baptism of two lives that have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. The Lord is working in a great way where AGWM personnel Katie Bailey serves on the leadership team with John Carrano who is the pastor. Sidney is a young man who spent about nine months attending the church as a university student. He grew and changed so much through discipleship and friendships in the church. He was a few days away from finishing his program and leaving to go to his home country but he just knew he needed to be baptized. It was too late to schedule it for a Sunday, so it was scheduled on a Friday afternoon to celebrate with him in baptism. He immediately went to work inviting everyone he could think of. To Katie’s surprise, as she approached the church that afternoon, there were about 40 people waiting to come in. They all sat together on the stage, sang a few songs of worship and heard Sidney's testimony as he shared what the Lord had done in his life. He was baptized as they gathered friends celebrated! It was a beautiful moment of community.

A couple of months ago, a young woman began attending ICB. Her desire to know more about the Lord was so evident. Over the next couple of weeks she came to know Christ, began to study His Word, entered into a one-on-one relationship for discipleship, recognized the need to rid the sin in her life and worshiped each week with all her heart. When she decided to be baptized, she wrote out a prayer to share with the church. Her words and her commitment to the Lord were so beautiful. It was a joy for Katie to celebrate with her in her decision.

Set Free from Darkness in the Czech Republic

One Saturday afternoon Peter and Jana Kozic, AGWM personnel in the Czech Republic, were helping the AC Vyskov Church with a children’s outreach. A lady along with her grandchildren came up to Peter. He began a conversation with her, sharing with her what Jesus has done in his life. He also then listened to her story. At the end of their conversation, he led her to invite the Lord into her life. He also encouraged her to start attending church and gave her the address and some information. Three months later the Kozics went back to preach at AC Vyskov. After worship Pastor Viktor asked if anyone had a testimony to share . A lady came forward, looking at them and smiling brightly. She began to share how she received Christ on August 20th and how her life was radically changed. The person who shared the gospel with her and encouraged her to attend church was Peter. She did attend the church and the people prayed for her. She was healed from depression and anxiety. When she went home, her unbelieving husband discouraged her from attending that church anymore so she no longer came. However, since that time, she had not taken her medication for over two months. But on this particular morning she made a decision to attend church each Sunday morning, letting nothing stop her. In her testimony, she thanked God for healing her and setting her free from darkness.

One Little Boy in Germany

“Benni was a normal, very active boy when he first came to our Royal Ranger Starter’s Group during his last year of kindergarten.” AGWM Personnel in Germany, Steve Dunn tells Benni’s story. “But a year ago, all of a sudden, he started having epileptic seizures. They came more and more, stronger and stronger. Benni did not respond well to medical treatment. The kindergarten director asked the parents not to bring him anymore to kindergarten. This, of course, was a painful moment for the parents. Our Royal Ranger group, though, was instructed as what to do should a seizure occur. This statement of love and acceptance spoke volumes to the parents. Benni’s condition did not improve. He began losing his ability to speak and do other normal daily routine things. Then, on a Sunday morning this past May, our entire congregation joined together in earnest prayer for Benni. The following Monday there were no more seizures. During our Royal Ranger service a few weeks ago, Benni’s mother gave testimony that since that Monday there has not been a single seizure. A recent medical examination has confirmed that Benni’s EEG has gone from a third degree condition back to normal. The attending physician stated that there is no medical explanation for this change. He said that even under medication it cannot be expected that a third degree condition will revert back to normal. We praise God for this great miracle. May God continue His work of grace in the lives of Benni and his family.
