The youth group at the church in Brno, Czech Republic is experiencing continued growth. Whereas four years ago, the average attendance was six to eight with a maximum of twelve to fourteen each week, this semester, the average attendance has been 90, many of them new believers or seekers. Jason and Andrea Morrison, AGWM personnel in the Czech Republic started working with this group four years ago. Now their role is coaching the young leaders who are now doing all of the ministry! Over a school holiday break, over 55 youth spent the weekend together to study God's word. The four students who did not yet know Christ all received him as their personal savior. Half of the remaining students made commitments to renew their walk with God. A third stated they received specific direction for their life and future and five students reported that God had healed them physically.
God seemed to specifically work among the students in the area of forgiveness and personal relationships. As God's Spirit started to move, about half of the students were healed from emotional wounds, abuse, depression, fear and pain as they released things to God and learned to forgive those who had hurt them.
Since that weekend retreat, the group has continued to grow. This past week, at the regular Monday meeting, 14 who attended were not believers, but were interested in joining a group to learn who Jesus is. God is drawing the youth of Brno to himself.
