A 10 year old's search in Spain

A water baptismal service took place early on a Sunday morning in a little cove on the shores of Majorca, where 16 new believers were baptized. Toni, a 17-year-old, committed his life to Christ a year ago. One day, when he was 10 years old, his mom said, “Toni, you should read the New Testament.” He began reading the Bible and his grandma would tell him to pray, talk to God, and so he did. But at age 16, Toni’s life was in disarray and he understood that he must make a choice between following the world or turning his life completely over to God. Not knowing where to turn, Toni began looking online to listen to ‘preachers’ and realized he needed to become a part of a local church. His first internet search for a church brought him to the web site of Christian Center.

He decided to visit the church. “I’ll never forget that first visit — the singing, the excitement in the service, the love I felt from everyone and the message of God’s word was so real!” They were made to feel welcomed. An usher took down their contact information. Toni continued to come and on the third Sunday he made his decision for Christ. He began attending youth meetings and a weekly home Bible study group. “Everything was so different,” he said. “I was impressed!” As he grew in his new faith, his life was transformed. Bad habits left. His language cleaned up. His relationship with his Dad was healed. He felt a new desire to help people. “They need Christ!” He began telling his friends about his new life in Christ. At High School the other students began to call him "Pastor!"

Toni feels God’s call on his life, and his spiritual growth over this past year has been nothing short of amazing! Toni’s mom and dad are also now serving the Lord.
