March for Jesus in Linz, Austria

On May 25, Christustag (Day of Christ), a March for Jesus was held in Linz, Austria.. The gathering place was just a block from the central train station, at the Volksgarten and the walk concluded at the central "Hauptplatz" area of the city. An estimated 7000 people gathered at this city center. The idea of this "march" for Jesus fits into the idea that Hitler "marched" into Austria and took it! The Marching in Linz, was to establish and declare the name of Jesus in the streets and in the heart of the city. Seventy years earlier, Hitler stood in the same city center of Linz to SET UP HIS PLACE OF RULE! He was making promises of rebuilding the economy while at the same time, thousands were dying in the nearby prison camps in the Gusen-Mauthausen area. Nevertheless, the people welcomed him!

So, on May 25, 2015, the man with the highest political authority in this province ... and a believer in Jesus… publicly made this proclamation:

'Seventy years ago, a false Messiah [Hitler] stood in this town square and proclaimed ownership of the nation. Tonight we join with thousands of people in the exact same place and declare the Name of the Jesus, the True Messiah, over the nation.’

All of this was done in UNITY with the greater Body of Christ! Speakers from the platform varied from the Bishop of this Province, Fa Schwarz, to the leader of the Baptist movement, the Pentecostal movement, the Evangelical non-Pentecostals, Lutheran…all who follow Jesus as Messiah... regardless of traditions, styles and cultures. A great worship team from Australia, the Planet Shakers, led in the evening worship with thousands of youth present! An outstanding combination of Gospel choirs came together. There were others who participated with music, dance, and drama, proclaiming Jesus through their arts! The name of Jesus was lifted high!
