Internationals Reaching Germans
German pastor Gerhard had been asking God to send him new partners in ministry. AGWM Personnel, Mike Tyler, is a part of the answer to that prayer. Mike states that he felt called to come to the region about the time Gerhard was seeking God for such help. Not long after the Tylers committed to coming, a family from Argentina sensed the same call. They’ll be arriving next month to begin working with the Go Church. Mike relates that, “Our church here has had a pattern of praying for their soon-to-be-arriving missionaries 3 times per day; first for us, then for the Bardols (Argentina). Recently the thought stuck us, ‘Soon the Bardols will be here. Who do we pray for next?’ So I started praying for missionaries to come from Africa and Asia. Last month I met an Australian pastor who moved to Germany 18 months ago. He is learning the language and looking to connect with other church planters in the region.
“Last week we had a visit from a Cameroonian pastor who is planting a church in Bremen, and looking to possibly partner with us along the way. Next weekend an Indonesian church planter (in Saxony) is coming to lead worship at our church, and to discuss how we can partner together. So…that means pastors from Europe, North America, South America, Australia, Africa, and Asia are all working together to reach Germany. I don’t know all that God has planned for Germany - but it sure seems like something big!”
Internationals are coming to Germany to reach Germans. All are being led by the Holy Spirit to come…no one has been recruiting people for this work. The Holy Spirit does that the better than anyone can!
